Dave Stosky

President and Founder

Started at Sceptre: Since inception

Skills and Focus: As an honor’s graduate of the NAIT Telecommunications Technology program, Dave has worked in the telecomm industry since 1984. After several years of experience working for CTG and Mitel Corporation, he decided to move on to the challenge of working for a large Telco where he acquired his Journeyman’s Communication Electrician Certificate in 1992. Dave’s passion for customer service satisfaction, his innate technical ability and his desire to shape his own destiny drove him to become an innovative entrepreneur. Sceptre Communications was formed in 1988 in Calgary and soon became known for the high quality of customer service and technical abilities. During the developmental stages of the venture, Dave accepted new challenges and technology openly, thus opening many doors of opportunity in the coming years. Eventually, Sceptre Communications moved out of the home office in 2009 and entered a period of high growth and expansion. Dave emphasizes the strong organization culture during the recruitment and selection process of prospective team members, and truly believes that the talent and skills of the team will fuel growth and success within the company. Dave focuses on developing the technical, sales, and leadership skills among the team at Sceptre through mentorship. Dave is open-minded and embraces technology, thus broadening the success and opportunities of Sceptre and its employees.

On weekends, I like to? Cook fine dinners, BBQ, golf, play guitar, and watch movies. In the summer, I love to spend time at our property in BC, where we enjoy boating, golfing, dinners, campfires and the community of friendships we have developed over time.

Favourite Movie: The Matrix with Keanu Reeves, and any James Bond movie.

Favorite Drink: Espressos, lattes and fine Red Wine.

Favorite Meal to cook: Italian 7-layer lasagna with roasted red peppers and Italian sausage. Goes well with the above.

If you had a Million Dollars? I would travel with my family, give back to the community and invest for my future.
